New Website!

One of the new additions to my website is this blog. Yes, its true, this is the place where you can get a short glimpse of the insanity that flows through my mind. I would like to think its creativity, but I think that is yet to be decided. I'm not entirely sure what I'll write about each time I turn on my computer, but I've been engrossed in the Olympics for the last two days, so sit back and relax, we're off to Beijing. :)

I turned on my computer this afternoon to find an article that was discussing the fact that the women volleyball players were showing more skin than their male counterparts on the court. First of all.....so? :) I do realize the idea of the article was about sexism in society, and why the women were playing in what appears to be their underwear and the men were in tank tops and shorts. Again, I don't see the problem with this. I would think that there would be more concern around the 4 year old chinese gymnast that are winning gold medals or the fact that the cyclists can't seem to get the milky film off their skin from the air in Beijing. However, if journalists continue to feel the need to write articles about the very *clearing my throat* fit women's volleyball players, I would appreciate more pictures. I'm a visual learner. :)

I'm taken back to the 2004 Olympics when the US Women's Volleyball team took the gold medal in Athens and gave the millions of viewers quite the homoerotic congratulatory ass slap for all to see. There may have been a tackle and some rolling around in the sand, but the internal components of my TIVO burned out from too much rewinding long before I could get a clear view of what their uniforms actually looked like. There is a very good chance the shorts could be getting smaller over the years. I'll be sure to watch a little more closely as the games continue in Beijing. I already have the "record" button ready just in case we win another gold medal. Who needs the L Word when we have Olympic hopefuls that look like that!

GO USA!!! :)
