SERIES OVERVIEW: This is a show about cuisine, community, and connection. Hosted by comedian, writer, and activist Dana Goldberg, Eating Out blends sharp humor, emotional storytelling, community and connection as Dana travels to cities big and small to experience LGBTQIA+ life through its most universal language: food.
As a nationally headlining comedian, Dana knows firsthand how powerful it is to find a place to eat that feels like home while on the road. From legendary queer destinations like Los Angeles and New York to under-the-radar communities in places like Omaha and Salt Lake City, Dana connects with LGBTQIA+ owned restaurants, bars, bakeries, and more – along with the people who frequent them – to uncover what it really means to build identity, belonging, and joy in each location.
Each episode is equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and eye-opening, balancing Dana’s comedic lens with meaningful conversations about visibility, resilience, chosen family, and the evolving landscape of queer life across different regions.
